San Diego Productions is a full service production company specializing in the print and advertising industry. With services ranging from production coordination, location scouting, model and talent castings, equipment rentals, permitting, hotel reservations, production ready RV's and more, San Diego Productions' services extend to a range of clients including Eddie Bauer, New Balance, ABC, Microsoft, ESPN, MTV, Yahoo, Miller Lite, JC Penny, Vanity Fair, and more.
San Diego Productions approached Module Media to help them with their web presence. The challenge included building a new web site / custom application that encapsulated the advertising / production industry, incorporated use of imagery from various photo shoots they've coordinated including behind the scenes photos, and most importantly, a feature that allowed them to manage and upload photos directly to their web site for a scouted location while in the field.
Built entirely using standards-compliant technologies, the web site incorporates CSS for structure, presentation, and the custom built three-tier navigation menu and JavaScript to control image randomizations for the header and featured client sections on the main page. A custom image management system was designed and implemented using ASP.NET allowing San Diego Production's representatives to upload photos directly to sections within their web site while at a photo shoot or scouting a location. ASP.NET was also used to allow San Diego Productions' clients to log in to a designated area within the site to check on the status of their desired production services.
